Types of CCTV Cameras
AHD CCTV
The Analog High Definition (AHD) Close Circuit Television Video surveillance cameras use the coax cable to transmit the video from cameras to DVRs (Digital Video Recorders). It can support 720p and 1080p video resolutions. These cameras provide the convenience of a play and plug installation.
IP Camera
The Internet Protocol (IP) Camera runs on a network, receives data and transmits it over an Ethernet link. They are a networked version of CCTV cameras commonly used for surveillance. These do not require a recording device because of the connection to local network. IP cameras offer a higher resolution and wider viewing field.
Smart Wi-Fi Camera
These cameras utilize a radio band to transmit video and audio signals to a wireless receiver. As they do not use cables, it is more convenient to move them if required to a different location. Using a cloud back up, the footage can be easily viewed remotely.
